I was also on the track and field team, in the band as a clarinet player, and played the lead angel during my 5th grade year, in our Christmas production of "Angel on Cloud #9". That was in the good ol' days when schools were actually allowed to HAVE Christmas celebration!
It is so enjoy seeing our class pictures on the hallway walls. That was a many decades-long genius idea!
The setting that this school is in is so peaceful and scenic that it was a great place to spend a school day. And we were fed so good, with homemade meals daily for lunch, yummm!
I have many happy childhood memories from my eight years at Crestwood :) "Everywhere we go people want to know who we are. So we tell them. We are the Evergreen's, mighty mighty Evergreens!!! GO EVERGREEN's!" (okay, I was a cheerleader from 4th-8th grades, hee-hee).
I drive out there to visit the grounds it every time that I get back home to Antigo. Plus, I like to see the growth of the row of trees that our class planted there one arbor day back in the early 1970s!
